Parks

The City Parks system consists of 30 areas totaling 700 acres. These are mini, neighborhood, or regional parks, with special use areas, natural open space and landscaped areas.

The Parks Master Plan defines strategies for meeting existing and future park and recreation needs for the City of Klamath Falls.

It determines park, recreation, open space and trail facility needs, establishes policies and guidelines for park planning and development,identifies general locations of future parks, trails, open space areas and other recreation facilities.

The Parks Master Plan also describes a financing strategy for meeting the fiscal demands of the program.

During the first full week of December, the City of Klamath Falls sponsors the annual Snowflake Festival. The festival consists of a variety of events that are enjoyed and attended by young and old throughout our community, with the highlight being the Snowflake Festival Parade.

Veterans' Memorial

The Veterans' Memorial is located within the City's Veterans' Park in downtown Klamath Falls. The Memorial was constructed through the hard work, volunteer time and donations of the community. It features memorial bricks for past and present military personnel, an informational kiosk and a covered pavilion. The Veteran's Memorial Committee overseas the maintenance and upkeep of the Memorial as well as oversees the planning and preparation of any events and ceremonies that occur at the Memorial. Kiger Stadium 

Kiger Stadium - Klamath Falls Gems

Klamath Falls' original wood stadium with over 60 years of history. Home of the Klamath Falls Gems and representing youth baseball in Klamath County with over 200 events annually. Check out the 2011 PR Schedule for the Klamath Gems HERE.

Conger Park

The Conger Park area consists of 10.6 acres leased to the Klamath School District. It contains two softball fields with backstop and perimeter fencing along with two soccer fields with bleachers. The park is in good condition and is maintained by the School District; however, it remains open to public use.

Ella Redkey Pool

The Ella Redkey pool is geothermically-heated and offers Adult Lap Swim, Masters Swimming, Aqua Exercise classes for shallow water and deep water, Open Swim, and Family Swim times. The pool is home to the Basin Aquatics swim team which provides competitive swim programs for ages 5-18.

Mills-Kiwanis Park

Mills-Kiwanis Park is 2.40 acres featuring two small youth ballfields with backstops; bleachers; basketball court; restroom(currently closed)/storage building; drinking fountain; benches, playground equipment; irrigation system; and paths. This park receives a high amount of use in the community and surrounding neighborhood.

Moore Park

One of the jewels in the City of Klamath Falls' park system, Moore Park features soccer fields, tennis courts, open play areas, large picnic areas with barbecue pits; day camp area; extensive trails; restrooms; concession building; maintenance buildings; caretaker's residence; parking areas; and more - including the Gingerbread house which was restored by the Friends of Moore Park. This park receives major use from the community, especially for large events such as company picnics, soccer games, scouting events, and other special events. The access road to the north has been closed permanently to automobiles, and is utilized as trails.

Krause Park

Krause Park was developed by the neighborhood and funded by a local company. The vegetation that exists is young, but after time it will mature, creating shade areas for park users. Krause Park features a soccer field; basketball court; modular children's playground; picnic tables; park sign; and irrigation system.

Kit Carson Park

Kit Carson Park is adjacent to and provides access from the Canal Trail, which makes a good connection to the entire park system. There is room for expansion on narrow strips of land to the south, where the Boys Scouts Building is located. The recently erected a new pavilion at Kit Carson Park and have made significant improvements to the park. It features a softball field with backstop, tennis courts, picnic area and plenty of parking.

Fairview Park

This park offers a distant view of the surrounding hills, as well as rolling topography. It is located in an existing residential area, and is adjacent to the Linkville Cemetery. Fairview Park features 3.10 acres with a children's playground and large open play area.

Veterans Memorial Park

This park is considered the entrance to downtown Klamath Falls and its location makes it accessible to a large number of people. There are many types of waterfowl. All the trees in the park are decorated with lights during the Snowflake Festival. The Lake Ewauna Rowing Club and other boaters use the marina. The 3.30 acres of the park include picnic tables; landscaping; steam locomotive with shelter; concrete stage area; Veterans' Memorial with informational kiosk; the park is ADA accessible; features a small marina with boat ramp, docks, benches, gazebo, paths and plenty of parking.
