Community Watch Program and Schedule
The Klamath Falls Police Department (KFPD) has received several requests for information about what citizens can do to participate in Community Watch. Citizens are most effective in helping to reduce crime by simply being extra eyes and ears for the Police and reporting suspicious persons, activities or incidents. Reports by citizens enable Police to stop some crimes before they happen and may also help solve other crimes. By working together, citizens and Police can reduce crime and sustain a safer and more livable community. The KFPD shares that goal with you!
The following phone numbers may be used to report suspicious activity:
• During regular business hours non-emergency calls:
– KFPD: 883-5336
– KCSO: 883-5130
– OSP: 883-5713
• After business hours 9-1-1 Non-Emergency
– 884-4876.
• Utilize 9-1-1 Emergency calls only during an emergency situation
Citizens are encouraged to attend Community Watch meetings at their discretion and without obligation. There are no requirements or expectations to actively participate. The meetings merely promote information sharing and a partnership between citizens and police to continually improve our community through public safety. The KFPD appreciates public interest and feedback from citizens so comments or questions are encouraged. We especially appreciate your willingness to help us keep our community safe.
The Klamath Falls Police Department also offers a crime mapping system that displays current Police activities. This system enables citizens to actively see what is happening around them and the ability to have email alerts automatically sent to notify them of any Police incidents occurring near their residence or business. Refer to the KFPD website at www.KFPD.us for easy access to the Crime Map.
Refer to the instructions to navigate the KFPD crime mapping system.
Thank you for your interest in Community Watch.
